This piece is a “gatonamorao,” a sphynx cat, a hairless cat. For many people, it might look strange, and that contrast between unusual and soft is exactly what interested me: an animal that typically feels different, but with a completely gentle expression. The big eyes with heart shapes push that idea, almost exaggerating the emotion, while the purple keeps everything in that same tone, somewhat dense but calm. There’s not much more behind it, just that balance between something that shouldn’t feel this cute, but does.
