I really like this piece, soldiers and armor have always drawn me in. Here it feels like someone trying to grow, finding whatever ways are needed to become better, even doing things they normally wouldn’t do but have realized are good for them. There’s some discomfort in that, but also progress. The wings and halo show up almost like a power up, like stepping into another stage, and in the end, who wouldn’t want to fly?
