This painting is a slightly worn-down fox. I’ve always liked foxes, and when I made this painting I was feeling a bit down, so I guess some of that ended up in it too. It doesn’t look defeated, more just tired, still, thinking a little too much. The sunset adds to that feeling, like those days when you’re not completely bad, but not especially good either.
