This painting comes from someone I met: grey-ish eyes, hard to describe but hard to forget, favorite color purple, and a tattoo that said “caos.” The eye became the center of everything, but not in a calm way—there’s tension in the shape and in the lines. The eye is upside down because of a mistake. I started painting it that way and kept it, because somehow it fits what happened. The purple dominates the piece, more heavy than soft, and the cracks hold that feeling together.
